Saint Andrews Theological College and Seminary

Licensure

Saint Andrew's Theological College and Seminary is owned by The Orthodox Anglican Church, and is a non-profit, church-affiliated educational institution providing career preparation for the Christian ministry through the study of theology and the Bible. It has been declared by the appropriate state authority exempt from the requirements for licensure under provisions of North Carolina General Statutes 115D-88(1). Exemption from licensure is not based upon assessment of program quality under established licensing standards.

On 13 April AD 2003, St. Andrew’s Theological College and Seminary was recognized by the government of the Republic of Italy as a juridical personality (legal corporation), authorized to act as a religious educational institution.

  • The Board of Directors of St. Andrew's is pusuing international and United States recognition and accreditation of its academic programs. However, we maintain that ecclesiastical sanction and theological propriety take precedence over any secular authority. We understand that secular accreditation is often necessary for students who seek to transfer credit to other institutions; therefore, prospective students, seeking to earn transfer credit only, are strongly advised to review the transfer standards of their respective institutions and to consult with their academic advisors prior to enrolling at the Seminary.
